Resilient Seated Flange Type Butterfly Valve

1. Introduction

The Flange Type Butterfly Valve has a flanged body and raised rims to allow its installation between two flanged pipes with the same dimension as the valve. Generally, there are two types of flange butterfly valves: the single flange butterfly valve and the double flanged butterfly valve.

The Double Flanged Butterfly Valve is our star product. In terms of this double flanged butterfly valve, the bolts are used to connect the flanges at both sides of the valve to the pipe flanges. Inside this cast iron or ductile iron flange butterfly valve, there’s a round vane or disc for operation: when the valve is open, the disc lays parallel to the pipe and the direction of the current; when the valve is closed, the disc is rotated to plug the pipe.

According to the position of the stem, we have centerline butterfly valve and offset butterfly valves of flange type. The concentric type is the most common type and usually comes with soft sealing. Thus the flange style resilient seated butterfly valve is one of our most popular products.

Steady connection: thanks to this flange type of end connection: our double flanged butterfly valve is suitable for high-pressure piping: on each flange butterfly valve, there is a total of 8 body bolts that connect through threaded holes in the body of the valve. This flange-type end connection also helps to support the pipes.
